Glorifying God...Expanding His Kingdom

A Word from the Pastor…

This month, from July 21 – 29, a mission team of 11 persons will be going to Wellington, CO.  Wellington is a growing community about 1 hour north of Denver.  The team will be leading a Vacation Bible School at the Trailhead Church of Wellington.  Volunteers from the Trailhead Church will be assisting us and seeing how they can possibly conduct the VBS themselves next year.  The team will also be helping the church prepare for other ministries and events the church will be conducting later this summer and fall.  The team will consist of Mary Collier, Mary Miller, Jan Timmins, Brenda Emmons, Dennis Emmons, Mari-Sue Cash, Junior Cash, Donna Gaines, Brad Gaines, Lana Newcom and Richard Newcom.  The team asks that you pray for us and our work while we are on this mission trip.  We believe that your prayers are so vital to the success of the trip.  We need this trip, the VBS and all we do to be bathed with prayer.

We will also personally deliver the $268 collected in our Vacation Bible School to the church for their church to use in reaching their community.  We are a partner church with Trailhead by giving monthly and praying regularly for their church.  God is really blessing this new church in many ways and it is our prayer that God will use our team and our partnership to assist this sister church.

Business Meeting…

July 15th at 6:15 pm, we will have our quarterly church business meeting.

Melon Fellowship…

On July 15th at 5:45 pm (before our business meeting) we will have a Melon & Dessert Fellowship.  Rather than a dish for a potluck, we ask you to bring some type of melon (watermelon, cantaloupe, etc.) or a dessert.

The Love Project…

Our emphasis for this year is the “Love Project.”  It is all about Loving God and Loving People.  This summer let’s be looking for more ways to show God’s love to people through acts of love that meet needs.  Remember, even small acts done in love can have a BIG impact on people.

Summer Faithfulness…

In July and August, most of us are in our summer mode, but remember to be faithful in your attendance at Sunday School & Worship Services.  It is just as important to attend church in the summer as it is any other time of year.
