Glorifying God...Expanding His Kingdom

April 2018 Newsletter

A Word from the Pastor…

On Saturday June 2 our church will host the state sponsored Missions Spectacular.  There will be teams from churches from around our state to do 13 different projects in Wood River and East Alton.  You may be involved in one of two ways.

First, we will have a group who will be helping with hosting the event.  A leadership team has been working since last fall planning this event.

Second, if you have not been enlisted to help host this event you may be on a team from our church that will be doing one of the mission projects.  If you want to be on our church’s team to help with one of the projects, sign up on the bulletin board by May 6.  The team will work from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The cost is $20 and this covers your reservation fee, a box lunch, and a t-shirt.

This is going to be a great event that can have a big impact.  If 13 teams of 10-12 people each come, that is from 130-160 people serving in Wood River and East Alton!  Let’s pray the Lord uses it to impact our community for Christ!

In His Love,

~Bro. Richard

The seniors will meet on Thursday, April 19 at 1:00 pm at Eagle’s Nest Restaurant.  Anyone age 55 and up is welcome to attend.

Youth Breakfast Fund Raiser…

The youth will be hosting a breakfast on Saturday, April 21st from 7:30 – 11:00 am. This will be another fundraiser to help with our Fuge camp expenses.  Also, we would like to thank everyone for their donations for our pie/cake auction. We made around $2100 to support our youth! You are an amazing church family!!
